New Hampshire lawmakers are considering easing some insurance mandates to make coverage optional for midwife and other services.
The House could vote as early as Wednesday on legislation that also requires a review for children's early intervention therapy services, diagnosis and treatment of autism and for hearing aids.
An amendment proposed by House Republican Leader D.J. Bettencourt and Derry Republican Andrew Manuse would also make coverage optional for diseases related to obesity and for deafness and hearing loss.
It also would repeal mandatory insurance coverage when couples separate or divorce.
