Arlington Residents/Smoke Alarm Giveaway Program


At the Arlington Commission on Aging meeting today, I learned Arlington residents in need can receive two smoke alarms and a carbon monoxide detector through the Smoke Alarm Giveaway Program.

The fire department will come out and install two smoke alarms and a carbon monoxide detector in your home. These are hard wired audible smoke alarms. They can also provide battery operated smoke alarms with strobe lights but there is a limited supply. While the firemen are in your home, they can provide a home safety check looking for frayed electrical cords, etc.
